In the event that you need documents legalized for an Islamic country or for China, please note that there will be a number of embassy and consulate closings in the month of June.
Many embassies and consulates for Muslim countries will be closed on June 15th and surrounding dates for the observance of Eid al-Fitr, the celebration marking the end of Ramadan.
The Chinese embassy and consulates will be closed on June 18th for the Dragon Boat Festival.
Due to the closures, the processing time for the legalization of documents for the affected countries will likely be delayed. The affected embassies include, but are not limited to:
- Bangladesh: June 13th -15th
- China: June 18th
- Egypt: June 15th (subject to change)
- Indonesia: 13th – 19th
- Iran (Interests Section): June 18th
- Libya Consulate: June 15th and 18th (these dates may change)
- Philippines: June 12th
- Saudi Arabia: June 15th to June 21st
- UAE: June 14th – June 15th
Many embassies have not announced the specific dates of closure, but it is likely that the embassies for most Muslim countries will be closed on June 15th—and possibly on dates falling close to the 15th.
