Part III: Soliciting Charitable Donations in Texas? Here’s What You Need to Know

According to Texas law, most charities and nonprofit organizations soliciting charitable donations from Texas donors are not required to register to solicit. However, there are 3 fundraising laws in Texas that do require charitable solicitation registration and renewal filings:

  • Law Enforcement Telephone Solicitation Act (LETSA)
  • Public Safety Solicitation Act (PSSA)
  • Veterans Solicitation Act (VSA)
