Cogency Global is seeking a Senior Director of Revenue Operations for our New York office.

Summary

The Sr. Director of Revenue Operations will lead data analysis, project management, and technology initiatives in partnership with Cogency’s CRO, marketing, business development, sales, and account management teams, collectively known as ‘the GRO’ (Global Revenue Organization). This role reports to Cogency’s CRO and is central to developing strategies, executing revenue initiatives, and maintaining accountability to the Strategic Revenue Plan. Due to the collaborative and strategic nature of this role, a hybrid work schedule including days at our NYC headquarters is ideal. However, a fully remote model is possible for highly experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with GRO leadership to formulate and execute growth strategies.
  • Proactively develop and share insights about customers, service lines, GRO teams, and individual contributors to support data-driven decision making within the GRO.
  • Play a leading role in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology as required to support the needs and strategic initiatives for each GRO function.

Analytics and Decision Support

  • Develop expertise in data models, reporting, and technology to build and maintain actionable analytics supporting the customer lifecycle and growth objectives.
  • Produce both scheduled and ad-hoc reporting as required by management.
  • Serve as the primary source of truth for GRO data and metrics, collaborating with IT and finance to ensure alignment of key systems and data.

Operational Execution

  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect assignment data for company-wide use.
  • Periodically update account assignments in Salesforce and manage change requests in collaboration with relevant managers.
  • Lead the update of client assignments to support annual territory refinements and target setting.
  • Manage the annual process for allocating next-year targets by team, segment, market, and territory.
  • Support GRO leaders through the budgeting process by providing data, reporting, and analytics to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Provide project management and support for the global key accounts program.

Team Leadership

  • Manage a high-performing RevOps team of 2-5 staff, including the GRO technology team.
  • Identify and nurture top talent through hiring and training initiatives.
  • During FY26 your RevOps team is likely to expand to include other GRO operations specialists.

Pipeline Management

  • Work with GRO management to evolve pipeline methodologies, metrics, and review processes.
  • Project manage improvements to pipeline usage and oversee monthly pipeline reporting and insights.

Performance Reporting

  • Develop systems and metrics to track team activity and performance targets.
  • Support the creation and monitoring of KPIs, incorporating early detection for timely corrective actions.

Compensation

  • Oversee GRO variable compensation strategies in partnership with CRO and regional heads of sales for the US, EMEA and APAC.
  • Manage compensation plan documents, tools, and systems, including annual updates and distribution.
  • Lead rollout and signoff processes for annual compensation plans and administer commission splits.
  • Calculate monthly, quarterly and/or annual variable compensation for relevant GRO team members, partnering with team leaders to verify amounts, and with payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment.

Technology and Tools

  • Manage GRO technology specialists certified in systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Gong, Xactly, and ZoomInfo.
  • Ensure successful deployment of technology and align system use with GRO objectives.
  • Develop advanced proficiency in key GRO tech systems, especially for commissions, reporting, and data quality.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements across GRO teams.
  • Work with management to inspect and enhance quality in marketing, business development, sales, and account management processes.
  • Assist in resolving process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and capable of multitasking under pressure.
  • Proven collaborator and influencer with cross-functional project management skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and experience with complex data sets for decision support.
  • Committed to accurate and ethical reporting and compliance.
  • Experience or interest in using Salesforce for performance measurement and reporting.
  • 10+ years in GTM operations, strategy, or business planning.
  • 6+ years in data systems and reporting.
  • 4+ years working for PE-owned companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent preferred.

Job Type: Full Time; M-F Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid); Salary Range: $185,000 – $220,000
