Please note that many embassies and consulates for Muslim countries will be closed on June 4th and surrounding dates for the observance of Eid al-Fitr, the celebration marking the end of Ramadan. The Chinese embassy and consulates will also be closed on June 7th for the Dragon Boat Festival.
Due to these closures, the processing time for the legalization of documents at these embassies will probably be delayed.
The affected embassies* include, but are not limited to:
- Algeria: 6/3/19 - 6/5/19 (subject to change)
- China: 6/7/19
- Bangladesh: 6/3/19- 6/4/19
- Egypt: 6/4/19 – 6/6/19
- Indonesia: 5/30/19, and 6/3/19 – 6/7/19
- Qatar: 6/3/19- 6/12/19
- Saudi Arabia: 6/3/19- 6/6/19
*Many other embassies for Muslim countries have not announced specific dates of closure, but it is likely they may be closed on June 4th or dates falling close to the 4th.
Feel free to contact your COGENCY GLOBAL service specialist if you have any questions or need to know if a specific embassy or consulate will be open on a particular date.
